INDIAN
INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT Shillong (IIM Shillong) has announced the selection
criteria for 2015-17 various MBA programs (Post-graduate Programmes in
Management).
Candidates for admission to PGP batch are selected through a
two stage process. In the first stage, a short list of candidates who
qualify through CAT is declared for the Writing Skills Assessment Test
(WSAT) and Personal Interview (PI). In the second stage a final merit
list is prepared based on which admission to the program is offered.
In
case of overseas candidates, the Admissions Committee will scrutinize
the applications and short-listed candidates will be called for Writing
Skills Aptitude Test
(WSAT) and Personal Interview (PI) on the basis of
their GMAT scores, scholastic performance, and work experience, if any.
The WSAT and PI would be held in four cities of India, namely,
Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, during January – April.
Short-listed candidates will be required to attend PI at any one of
these centers at their own expense or through the video conferencing on
a date informed.
Final selection of candidates is made
from among those who attend the PI, based on their performance in all
those parameters used for short-listing the candidates for PI and also
the performance in WSAT and PI. Selected candidates would be offered
admission tentatively by end of April and the registration for the
program at IIM Shillong campus will be held tentatively during the first
week of July.

Hi, my name is Ayush.
ReplyDeleteMy scores are:
10th => 90.
12th => 76.
B.Tech. => 8.30/10.
I will be giving CAT 2013, by that time my experience would be 1.5 years.
Do let me know my odds of getting IIM-Shillong.
Thanks.
Dear Ayush,
ReplyDeleteYour academics are good and if you score well in CAT (read 99+) with consistent marks across sections then you have very good chance of getting calls from IIM Shillong. IIM Shillong doesn't gives any weightage to work exp.
