INDIAN
INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT Kozhikode (IIMK) has announced the selection
criteria for 2017-19 various MBA programs (Post-graduate Programmes in
Management).
IIMK adopts a two‐stage selection process and accordingly these selection criteria are applied in two stages.
STAGE-1: The first stage process applies to all eligible candidates (who appear for CAT 2016 and registered online for admission to IIMK) to determine those qualifying candidates who will be called for personal interview (PI).
STAGE-2: In the second stage, the short‐listed candidates will have to appear for a GD/WAT followed by a Personal Interview (PI). The PI process will last for a half‐day (morning or afternoon) session where the candidate will be writing a short note and participate in group discussion on a topic provided by IIMK. The topic will be announced at the venue just before the GD/WAT. The topics will typically reflect current political, economic, sports, business affairs, etc. During the interview, the panel will evaluate each candidate's performance on academic background, quality of work experience and other personal traits.
Minimum Eligibility to be considered for Stage-1

any chnaces for IIM K this year if i will score high!?
plz do reply!
Dear Shuvam,
DeleteIIM K is giving 10% weighatge to graduation marks. Your profile is very good, except your grads marks. I believe you still have time to improve the graduation percentage. Try to score 60+ percentage in graduation and then your chances are bright with a high score in CAT.
All the best!

Hi, my name is Ayush.
ReplyDeleteMy scores are:
10th => 90.
12th => 76.
B.Tech. => 8.30/10.
I will be giving CAT 2013, by that time my experience would be 1.5 years.
Do let me know my odds of getting IIM-K.
Thanks.
Dear Ayush,
DeleteYour academics are good and if you score well in CAT (read 99+) with consistent marks across sections then you have very good chance of getting calls from IIM K. IIM K doesn't give any weightage to work exp.

ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous,
DeleteYou have an excellent academics due to which you have very good chances of getting calls from IIMs. As you are from SC category the over all percentile required for you would be relatively low, Try to score 85+ with 75+ score in each section and that should ensure you category based call from almost all IIMs.
All the best!
thans alot...if i score 90 overall n in one section cudnt score 75, wil it affect my iim cal??
DeleteIt may affect based on the sectional cutoff set by particular IIM. Along with over all percentile cutoff candidates are expected to score well across sections.
DeleteHence try to do well in all sections.
All the best!

Hi I'm Ankit. My 10th score is 85.5(cbse) , 12th score is 91.6(cbse) and b.tech cgpa is 8.5/10 . I belong to obc category with no work experiance . What are my chances of getting old IIMs i.e. IIM-A/B/C/K/L/I also pls mention the percentile required.
ReplyDeleteHi Ankit,
ReplyDeleteYou have got good academic marks. You AR score is 43.5 based on IIM-A formula which is pretty high.
I believe considering your OBC category, scoring 98+ overall CAT percentile with 85+ percentile in each section should fetch you calls from all IIMs.
You can check selection criteria of each IIMs at:
