IIML Selection Criteria-IIM Lucknow Shortlisting Process

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT LUCKNOW (IIM L) has announced the selection criteria for 2017-19 various MBA programs (PGP, PGP-ABM & PGPSM)

Stage 1: : Shortlisting for Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)

Stage 1a: Eligibility criteria for WAT/PI

Stage 1b: Calculation of composite score for shortlisting for WAT/PI


Note:(*) Maximum marks for diversity factor (DFa and DFb) cannot exceed 20 (for PGP - ABM Program only).

Note:(+) - Candidates seeking admission in PGP-ABM/PGP-SM program have to necessarily fill up their PGP-ABM/ PGP-SM Special Form to be considered for Stage 1b (Shortlisting for WAT-PI Stage)

Stage 2: Final Selection

A candidate’s final score for selection in PGP/PGP-ABM/PGP SM programme for the batch 2017–19 will be calculated on the basis of the assigned weight s as given in Table 4










Note:
The minimum requirement for getting a pass in Personal Interviews is 12 out of 40 marks. Names of candidates who do not pass in PI will not be included in the final merit list. Final  discretion  on  the  academic  category  that  an  academic  program  will  be  classified  into  rests  with  the  Admissions  Committee  of  IIM - Lucknow.

    1. Only selected streams such as : Veterinary Science, Food Technology, Agriculture Engineering, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Horticulture, Dairy Science etc are eligible for this weightage. People from other discipline would not be awarded any marks for this component.

    graduation score-79%(till fourth sem)
    do i stand a chance of getting into iim b,c or lucknow if i score damn well in cat?

    My scores are:
    10th => 90.
    12th => 76.
    B.Tech. => 8.30/10.
    I will be giving CAT 2013, by that time my experience would be 1.5 years.
    Do let me know my odds of getting IIM-L.

      Your academics are good and if you score well in CAT (read 99+) with consistent marks across sections then you have very good chance of getting calls from IIM L. You work exp. will surely help you.

      It doesn't matter if you have a proper explanation/justification for an year gap. Definitely you could be asked to explain the same during PI.

    1. Hi Chriag,

      This is what the eligibility criteria for CAT:
      "The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD)/Differently Able (DA) category) awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India"

      So please check yourself if your university really fits into the eligibility or not not.
